Pioneer Adopts RTPatch for Telematic Updates of it’s New, High-End Air Navi AVIC-T10 Portable Car Navigation System

Houston, Texas, October 25, 2008

Takao Chiba, Pioneer Recruitment Officer, MBG Business Planning Department, Navigation Planning Division, Telematics Project Promotion Group comments, "When developing the Air Navi AVIC-T10, updating installed software was a major challenge.  To update products without imposing a burden on users, while maintaining the high reliability of products, it was only natural to adopt the time-proven RTPatch from Pocket Soft.  I believe this decision will bring greater satisfaction to AVIC-T10."

President Hiro Maeno of Tokyo based Solutions Provider Monet Co., Ltd., says "RTPatch determines changed parts from older versions at byte level to create differential patches when updating data or programs.  This simplifies processes and drastically reduces the cost to deliver the latest version, any time, any where. The size of differential patches is reduced by up to 99.9% compared with original data, greatly contributing to TCO reduction - a major concern in the telematics market."

Bill Blake, OEM Marketing Director of Pocket Soft, Houston, Texas comments "We are really proud that a leader like Pioneer has chosen RTPatch Embedded.  The AVIC-T10 is awesome.  It will even help you find a parking place.  My only regret is that it’s currently available only in Japan.  The AVIC-T10 sets a new standard for creative use of telematics."
